An end of watch broadcast is a memorial tribute given for a fallen officer. On November 15,2003 at 1845 hours, Burbank Police Officer Matthew Pavelka was shot and killed while backingup another officer during a traffic stop. Upon Officer Pevelka's arrival, both occupants of thevehicle exited the car, each with two handguns, and opened fire on the officers. The suspectsfired over 30 rounds from the handguns, striking both officers. Although critically wounded,both officers were able to return fire and killed one of the suspects. The second suspectescaped and was captured on November 27, 2003. Several semi-automatic rifles andmethamphetamine were found in the vehicle during the ensuing investigation.Officer Pavelka had only served with the Burbank Police Department for 10 months, and hadpreviously served as a United States Air Force Security Police officer for four years.

Since installing the Xbox 360, Mac Mini and DVD system coupled with the THX sound system I no longer watch broadcast TV - and since I can't get cable, I no longer watch TV. At all.
